Description
The infamous blended malt. In 2002, Cardhu were struggling with demand for their spirit, they were having to produce enough for both Johnnie Walker and their own single malt. And so a decision was made to start blending their spirit with single malts from other distilleries, but continue to brand it under their own name as a “Pure Malt”. In 2004 the confusion and controversery came to a head, and Cardhu 12 Year Old Pure Malt was withdrawn from the shelves.
