A gentle touch distillery, Royal Brackla is nestled in the Scottish Highlands. Producing a spirit that’s ideal for finishing in fortified wine casks, Royal Brackla Single Malt Royal Highland Scotch is the pinnacle of sherry cask maturation, using skills honed over 200 years of experimentation and development. The Distillery, founded in 1812, stands proudly on the Cawdor Estate – a historic residence linked with Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Quite literally fit for a king, Royal Brackla is made in the first distillery that was ever granted a Royal Warrant, by King William IV in 1833. As a result, it became known as the ‘King’s Own Whisky’, and it’s still reigning true today. It’s perfect for year-round enjoyment, whether served neat or on the rocks.

Royal Brackla Whisky is a bold and noble spirit. The distillery style is opulent and fruity, and has been a secret savoured by a privileged few. Royal Brackla 21 Year Old Whisky is matured in American oak – a combination of first-fill, refill and rechar – and then matured in the finest Oloroso, Palo Cortado and Pedro Xim?nez Sherry Casks. This process results in an opulent finish. Rich and exuberant – the full bodied spice of sherry, and the bright summer breeze of Royal Brackla Malt Whisky elegantly combine as a regal and assured dram – syrupy toffee notes with richly fragrant summer berries warmed by the sun and dusted in cinnamon and muscovado sugar.

The Royal Brackla distillery was founded by the fiery Captain William Fraser, more than 200 years ago. As one of the oldest distilleries in the world, it enjoys a resplendent setting, close by the banks of the river Nairn. It stands in a serene rural spot, on the coastal plain that lies between the seawater of the Moray Firth and the rising slopes of the Grampian Mountains. Every bottle of this noble Single Malt Whisky proudly displays an age statement: a minimum age guarantee of the Single Malt within.

In 2021 alone, Royal Brackla was awarded with 3 medals – at the International Spirits Challenge UK (Trophy), the CSWA (Gold) and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (Double Gold).
