Distilled over 70 years ago in 1951, this vintage Macallan was bottled from two sherry butts selected for their exceptional quality. On the nose there are notes of cinnamon, cloves and coffee beans, plus hints of sherried sultanas and aniseed. The palate is thick and full-bodied, boasting notes of rubber, heather roots, ash and winter spice, with fruitcake and a gentle peat. Only 632 bottles were produced at the time.
