Usually available only for travel retail, Laphroaig 25 Year Old The Bessie Williamson is an expression released to celebrate the former distillery owner Bessie Williamson. Bessie started in a post as a typist at the distillery in 1934 but she quickly moved up the ranks to office manager and when the distillery owner at the time fell ill, he placed the running of the distillery in her very capable and loving hands and she became the new distillery owner, making it a huge success and still infamous globally today
